Destination London

Friday, March 3 7:30-9:30 PM First Parish Church

In a building 200 years old, the Musicians of the Old Post Road now into the second quarter century of giving annual concerts for a Wayland audience, will transport us to London, one of the musical meccas of the 18th century. London was a magnet for musicians from all over Europe. Artful contributions to this musical city were made by continental composers like Handel, Bononcini, and Pepusch. Soprano Teresa Wakim will make her debut this evening in performances of works by these transplants, each contributing to London’s bustling concert life.
